Foodiedame’s potluck is an avenue for readers and guest writers who would love to share recipes to submit their recipes. The recipes will be uploaded for viewing to both the guests that submitted recipes and other readers. Writers are allowed to share recipe links on social platforms.

Also, in accordance to the WHO recommended  standard of 400g/day, submitted recipes will be checked for vegetable content quantity. Adjustments might be made to recipes in order to meet this criterion and to demonstrate creativity of recipe owner while we retain the deliciousness and appeal of the intended meal.

For instance, becky Udo submits a jollof rice recipe that contains rice, tomatoes, Scotch bonnet, long pepper, onions as it’s major ingredients. Her recipe is such a nice one but, the vegetable content is less than 400g. Thus, we add about 50g carrots to the recipe at cooking and garnish with some steamed green vegetables or ugu after cooking.

The goal is to bring out the creativity in every cook while improving the health potential of every meal.

Sometimes, all we need to stay healthy is one good food.

To participate in this Potluck, use the form below to enter your details and submit your recipe. We eagerly wait for your submissions.
